Refund & Return Policy

1. Overview

EVocktra is a digital platform that connects customers with authorized electric vehicle dealers. As we facilitate transactions between buyers and dealers, our refund and return policy is governed by applicable Indian consumer protection laws and individual dealer policies.

2. Return Eligibility

Returns and refunds for electric vehicles purchased through EVocktra are subject to the following conditions:

  • Vehicle must be in original condition with all accessories and documents
  • Return request must be initiated within 7 days of delivery
  • Valid reason for return (manufacturing defect, wrong model delivered, etc.)
  • Compliance with dealer's specific return policy

3. Refund Process

Refunds will be processed according to the following timeline:

  • Return request evaluation: 2-3 business days
  • Vehicle inspection by authorized dealer: 3-5 business days
  • Refund processing: 7-14 business days after approval
  • Credit to original payment method: 5-10 business days

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Vehicles damaged due to customer negligence
  • Customized or modified vehicles
  • Vehicles with mileage exceeding 50 km
  • Used or demo vehicles (unless specifically covered under dealer warranty)

5. Refund Deductions

The following charges may be deducted from refunds:

  • Registration and documentation charges (non-refundable)
  • Transportation and logistics costs
  • Inspection fees (if applicable)
  • Payment gateway charges (2-3% of transaction value)

6. Warranty & Service

All electric vehicles come with manufacturer warranty as per respective brand policies. Service and warranty claims should be directed to authorized service centers. EVocktra facilitates warranty claims but is not responsible for warranty terms and conditions.

7. Government Compliance

This policy complies with:

  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019
  • Motor Vehicles Act, 1988
  • Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989
  • E-commerce Guidelines by Department of Consumer Affairs

8. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes:

  • First level: Direct resolution with EVocktra customer support
  • Second level: Mediation with respective dealer
  • Third level: Consumer forum as per Consumer Protection Act
  • Jurisdiction: Courts in Krishnanagar, West Bengal
